Oil on Wood
I was inspired to paint this artwork after the trip to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Flamingo hotel and I really enjoyed looking at these beautiful birds every day. It was very peaceful but at the same time crazy with all these crowds of tourists around Las Vegas. I think that’s might be the reason why I depicted the flamingos so chaotic, crowded and kind of wild. The dog in the middle of the composition is a border collie – the smartest breed of dogs. Despite their [dog and birds] differences in appearance and intellect they really much enjoying each other’s company and having a lot of fun!
The painting was painted with oil on panel using impasto technique with think paint application and visible brushstrokes.
