This painting is from my watercolor collection of women with flowers. The transparency and softness of the watercolor medium inspired me for this tender and elegant series of portraits. The little chains connecting the flowers and other elements is my stylistic innovation.

In this painting I encourage the viewer to consider the weight given to beauty and appearance in the modern world. We are often blinded by beauty and forget to look inside the person. The color scheme of the painting resembles the Earth’s colors: the light blue color of sea foam; ochre and brown hues of soft sunlight, hay, and soil; red and purple shades of late sunset and roses.
